A bridge between France and Romania

Present in Bucharest for over a century, the Lycée Français Anna de Noailles maintains deep and lasting ties with Romania and its capital. Our school is much more than a French school located abroad: it is a place of meeting, dialogue, and mutual enrichment between two cultures, two languages, and two educational traditions.

Bearing the name of the great poet Anna de Noailles — born in Paris in 1876 to a Romanian father and a Greek mother — our school has embodied since its foundation this ideal of a bridge between France and Romania. This Franco-Romanian bond is reflected concretely in our educational project, through the teaching of Romanian provided at all levels, the partnerships forged with local cultural and educational institutions, and the active participation of our school in the life of the French community in Bucharest.

Operating under the supervision of the French Embassy in Romania, we work closely with the French Institute in Romania, contributing to the promotion of the French language and the vitality of Franco-Romanian bilateral relations.
