A global network, a guarantee of educational standards
The Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) is a public body under the supervision of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. It coordinates the network of French schools abroad.
The Lycée Français Anna de Noailles is a accredited school.The school is managed by a local foundation, the Anna de Noailles Foundation, and has a formal partnership with the AEFE. It receives educational support from the Agency and can host teachers seconded by the French Ministry of National Education.
A century of educational excellence
For over a century, the Lycée Français Anna de Noailles has educated generations of pupils in Bucharest. Founded in 1920, the school plays a leading role in French education in Romania, continuing a tradition of excellence, cultural openness and dialogue between France and Romania.
A dedicated and highly qualified teaching team
Our school has a stable team of teachers who share a common ambition: to provide an excellent education tailored to each pupil’s needs and aligned with the international standards of the French education system.
Beyond imparting knowledge, our teachers play an essential role in developing pupils’ confidence, independence and critical thinking skills.
The "vie scolaire" department is a distinctive feature of the French education system. It comprises education assistants (assistants d’éducation, or AEDs) and a senior education adviser (conseiller principal d’éducation, or CPE).
The department provides a framework for daily school life in which pupils build relationships, develop their identities and learn to put fundamental values such as respect, tolerance and solidarity into practice
In primary school, a school climate coordinator and a team of supervisors support pupils during shared activities and breaks. In nursery, an "agent spécialisé des écoles maternelles (ASEM)" assists the teacher in the classroom throughout the school day.
