The unit focuses on three key areas

01

Educate

Supporting students in developing healthy habits and gaining the knowledge they need to protect their health and well-being throughout their school years.

Food and taste education

Raising students’ awareness of balanced eating, food diversity and the enjoyment of healthy eating.

Promoting physical activity

Encouraging regular physical activity and raising awareness of the benefits of exercise for physical and mental health.

Education on Relationships, Sexual Health and Consent

Supporting students in understanding their bodies, building healthy relationships, and developing an awareness of mutual respect and consent, in an age-appropriate way.

Vaccination

Informing students and families about the importance of vaccination in preventing infectious diseases.

02

Prevent

Equip students with the knowledge they need to understand the risks associated with certain behaviours and make informed choices to protect their health.

Preventing addictive behaviours

Inform students about the risks associated with tobacco, alcohol, drugs and excessive screen use. Develop critical thinking and encourage responsible behaviour.

03

Protect

Safeguard students' health and well-being on a daily basis through appropriate medical follow-up and by addressing their health needs within the school environment.

Mandatory Medical Examinations

Organising and following up on scheduled medical examinations throughout students' school years to identify potential health concerns and ensure that appropriate support is provided.

Medical Support and Educational Adjustments

Advising families and teaching staff, and ensuring that appropriate arrangements are in place to enable students with specific health needs to access education under the best possible conditions.

Managing Minor Medical Emergencies

Providing care to students who require medical attention, assessing their condition and, where necessary, contacting their families or emergency services.
