A school transport service to make families' daily lives easier
In a city like Bucharest, Lycée Français Anna de Noailles offers a school transport service to make daily organisation easier for families and allow pupils to get to the school in safe conditions.
Every day, a fleet of approximately 10 school minibuses accompanies more than 300 pupils from Bucharest and Voluntari to the high school. The organisation of the service is designed to adapt to the pupils' school timetables with a morning departure and several return times according to schedules and after-school activities.
Student safety is a priority: the school pays particular attention to the choice of its transport provider and compliance with the rules governing school journeys. Students travel in suitable conditions, with support to ensure their safety and well-being.

The request must be sent by email to navette@lyceefrancais.ro, 48 hours before the desired date. As with all school transport, please ensure you send us the school insurance and the signed transport regulations (without these 2 documents, pupils cannot be registered). Registration will be confirmed subject to available places.
These rates ensure that a place is guaranteed for every registered child. As vehicle seats are booked on a quarterly basis and in order to avoid increasing the overall cost for everyone, it is no longer possible to issue refunds. Days missed due to illness, school trips, absences or exclusions will not be refunded.

Please note: your child is not automatically re-enrolled from one year to the next. The transport service is entirely self-funded and relies exclusively on the contributions of user families.

The service in question
Pupils must travel seated with their seatbelts fastened, remain in their seats for the entire journey, and must behave in such a way as not to disturb other pupils, distract the driver's attention in any way, or compromise safety. Failure to comply with the internal rules may lead to the temporary or permanent suspension of access to the service.
What are the conditions for my child's care?
Registration for the school transport service is a fixed-term commitment, undertaken for either a school term or the entire year.
All pupils who have been pre-registered on the Eduka Parent Portal in accordance with the procedures defined during the registration campaign are eligible for school transport.
What are the registration procedures? How do I register?
By email to navette@lyceefrancais.ro or by pre-registering on the Eduka platform.
It is possible to register either for the outward journey, the return journey, or both, every day of the school week (Monday to Friday).
What are the registration conditions?
Registration for the school transport service requires the following three conditions to be met: approval of the transport regulations by the families as well as uploading the signed version to Eduka; parental authorisation for an authorised person to collect the child when getting off the bus (primary school children); and a school insurance certificate covering school transport.
Once registration is confirmed, each child up to year 6 (CM2) will be given a name badge in the colour of their transport route, containing information relating to the journeys registered (outward and return stops, telephone number of the people authorised to meet them on their return).
Until what date can I enrol my child?
For the September start of term: pre-register on the Eduka platform before 31 August.
School transport registration is open all year round, subject to available spaces. Any registration request after 1 September must be sent by email to our address: navette@lyceefrancais.ro, as our system will no longer allow online registration. Once availability has been checked, a confirmation email will be sent to you.
Is it possible to amend a judgment?
It is possible to modify a stop after checking available spaces. Parents must submit their request to the Transport Manager by email at navette@lyceefrancais.ro at least 15 days before the modification takes effect. The badge of the child concerned will be updated by the parents or by the Transport Manager in the event of major modifications.
What to do in the event of a house move during the school year?
At least three weeks before your move, you contact the transport service manager by email at navette@lyceefrancais.ro, specifying your new address.
For any change of circumstances (school, scheme, address, type of transport, stop, mobile phone number), please make the request online: navette@lyceefrancais.ro.
How does the pick-up work on the way there?
The bus arrival time may vary depending on traffic conditions. Consequently, pupils must be at the stop 5-10 minutes before the official time. If the bus has not arrived 15 minutes after the official time (due to a breakdown or major hindrance), a parent (or pupil) may telephone the transport office to obtain information and agree together on the most appropriate way to get the pupil to school. Parents are responsible for their children until the moment they actually board the bus.
When the buses arrive at the school, adult supervisors look after the safety of the pupils. Nursery school children are met as they get off the bus by adult supervisors, who accompany them to the nursery school building, whilst primary school children are directed to the playground.
On the return journey, who is responsible?
Please note that pupils are the responsibility of their parents as soon as they get off the bus. The college and its supervisors are authorised to check the identity of anyone waiting for children at the bus stop in the afternoon.
Nursery and primary school children are led to the bus by their supervisors. We insist that pupils are on time for bus departures.
