A big test on a big field: our Lions show their character at the AISB
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, our high school football team played a friendly match against the students of the American International School (AISB) in a 11-on-11 format.
The challenge was immense: our Lions, who are not accustomed to playing on a large official field, had to quickly adapt to spaces that were much larger than usual. This friendly match served as a real test to assess the overall level of the players and analyze their effectiveness as well as their positions in each position.

Facing a local team accustomed to these dimensions, our high school students were defeated 4-1. However, the score does not reflect the true nature of the match. It was a team that showed immense character, especially in the second half. With only 10 players remaining in the second half, our Lions never gave up or closed the game down.
Despite the numerical inferiority and physical fatigue on this large pitch, they continued to carry the danger to the opponent by maintaining high pressure. Together, they created magnificent attacking actions that, due to a lack of success and luck, unfortunately did not end in the goal. They nevertheless saved face by scoring a well-deserved goal.
This live test proves extremely valuable for the future. The combative attitude and offensive demeanor shown against 11 players is a tremendous source of pride and very good omen for the season.
A big thank you to the AISB for their warm welcome. We also want to send a special message to the supporters and parents who travelled here: your presence and encouragement in the stands were a valuable support for the team throughout the match!
A heroic and enriching defeat. Bravo to our Lions!
Lucian Tintea,
The Coach
