On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the 7th edition took place.the 2nd edition of the football tournament «The Cup of Friendship» organized by our institution.
This year, the tournament brought together 8 male teams and 5 female teams, representing several schools in Bucharest. We were also pleased to welcome a new school this year: Colegiul UCECOM «Spiru Haret», whose participation made this year even more enjoyable due to the diversity of the profiles of each school participating in the tournament.
Our school has aligned 4 teams, 2 girls’ teams and 2 boys’ teams, which shows the popularity of the AS football team on Friday afternoons among our students.
The 26 matches of the program began at 9 a.m. and ended with the boys' final at 7:30 p.m.
After very competitive matches, our LFB 1 team women’s players won the 2nd placethe 2nd The place and the silver medals. This year the cup was won by the team from the European School of Bucharest.
Big APPLAUSE and all my congratulations to the Vice-Champions: Diana Stavrositu, Maria Kabourakis, Emma Lucy Perrin, Liz Perrin, Sofia Ciobotaru, Inès Pereira Varzan, Ioana Lazarescu and Jacqueline Cirstea.
A good performance was achieved by the players of the LFB 2 team who missed the 3rd goal.the 2nd Time for the goal average: Alice and Manon Drevon, Alexia Autin, Elsa Pipier, Eliana Olleik, Lou De Wazières, Camille Melnik – Ardin, Silvia Culic and Erin Blaer.
In the boys' tournament, 8 teams were registered, divided into two groups of 4 teams each.
Unfortunately, none of our teams qualified for the semi-finals, even though all our boys gave their all.
Despite the 2 wins obtained in the 3 matches played, the boys of the LFB 1 team missed out on qualifying for the goal-average for just one goal!!!
Of course, I would like to congratulate our boys from both teams for their commitment and their spirit of fair play shown throughout the duration of the tournament: Luca Pichard, Matei Gogescu, David Hnatiuc, Thibault Melnik Ardin, Radu Petrescu Sven Hoffman, Paul Perrin, Mathis Longatte, Toma Zelmat and Sotiroulis Fillipos (LFB 1); Matei Ghete, Hugo Collorig, Victor Ionescu, Alexandru Hristea, Emil Jabrane, Bill Mbaihodji, Clovis Simon, Rafael Cirstea, Lionel Rerolle, Sacha Nevo, Calin Popescu, Cristi Vilcu and Luca Lahaye – LFB 2.
This year the cup was won by the LTSM – Scoala Mea high school, which defeated the European School high school in the final with a score of 1 to 0.
The 3rdthe 2nd The place was won by the team from the ICHB (International Informatics High School) who defeated the Olga Gudynn high school in the final match.

The OGIS Cup will be held at Olga Gudynn High School on Saturday, May 30, and on the 8ththe 2nd We will be holding our «Cup of Friendship» edition next year!
